Have you ever heard of turmeric? You might have had it in your soup, on some chicken, or maybe even in your beverage (turmeric carrot juice has been becoming really popular over the past few years).
Turmeric is a plant that is apart of the ginger family & is usually ground into powder form. It’s been used in many Asian dishes & has even been used to dye clothing. Turmeric has also been used in Ayurvedic medicine because of its ability to reduce inflammation, improve brain function & lower risk of brain diseases, increase the antioxidant capacity of the body, & so much more.
According to standardmedia.com It has been reported that one ounce of turmeric gives you 26% of your daily requirement of your daily requirement of manganese & 16% of your daily requirement of iron. It’s also a great source of fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, magnesium, & vitamin C.
Turmeric also has magical/emotional properties as well. You can use turmeric in banishment spells & purification rituals. It can also be used to reduce depression & increase your confident as well.
What I really want to talk about is the health benefits of turmeric for your skin! Turmeric has been helping me fight acne by taking it internally but also by actually putting it on my skin! It has also helped to reduce my acne scars, even my skin tone, reduce the dark circles under my eyes, made my skin glow, & even made it look brighter! So today I decided to teach you guys a little trick! I will be teaching you how to make a turmeric face mask in your very own home!
You will need:
Turmeric
Lemon juice
Honey
Cinnamon
Cup
Makeup brush
Directions:
1. Put 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric in cup
2. Put 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon in cup
3. Put 1 teaspoon of honey in cup
4. Put 3-4 squirts of lemon juice in cup
5. Stir it up
6. Use make up brush to put the mixture on your face
7. Keep it on your face for 5-10 mins
8. Then wash off thoroughly
Might I add, I decided to use lemon juice, honey, & cinnamon because of their health & magical benefits as well. Honey is associated with the goddess Oshun & can be used to honor &/or invoke her! She’s the goddess of beauty, love, & abundance. She bestows her worshipers with everything she represents plus lots of confidence. Health wise, honey can be used to remove dirt from the pores, tighten skin & brighten skin.
Cinnamon can also be used in spells for confidence & money. It also makes you very irresistible to others (it’s a natural aphrodisiac) & banishes negativity. It’s great for fighting acne. Lemon helps to brighten the skin, fight acne, as well as uplift the spirit, & can be used in purification rituals! It’s lit!!!
